Song: The Colors of Clay

Of the colors of clay, from the depths of the earth.

God made all his people, with his breath he gave birth.

It pleased him to see beige, black, tan, and brown.

All equally loved, all equal in worth.

We lament in your name, forgive us the pain,

For not loving the ones, that you loved first.

Lord, we pray, may we learn how to trust,

Forgive evil words to those different from us.

The image of God is reflected by all,

Which we have destroyed, through our greed and our lust.

May we live in your spaces, may we pray in your places.

Please accept our lament for the hopes that were crushed.
